Subject Overview

As technology continues to advance and be a strong aspect of daily lives, proficiency in ICT and computer science will enable students to navigate and succeed in the modern digital world. These subjects foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, which prepares students not only for using ICT in other subjects but for a wide range of future careers and education. We pride ourselves on having up to date technology that enables our students to participate in a range of digital projects, including programming and graphic design.

In Key Stage 4 progressing to learn Computer Science will aid in the understanding of principles that will enhance students' ability to innovate and adapt with technology, empowering them to become active contributors to the digital age rather than passive consumers. Ultimately, ICT and computer science education cultivates a deeper understanding of how technology shapes society and promotes digital literacy, which is crucial for informed citizenship in the 21st century.
