Art

Subject Overview

Art and Design is a multifaceted subject that enables students to expand on a wide range of skills through interesting and interactive projects. The subject offers the opportunity for students to develop their creativity through the practical side of the subject with also being able to improve their analytical, communication skills and research abilities in the theoretical projects. The skills you gain make it a great complement to other subjects.

Art and design is a way of seeing things and making sense of the world around you. It can help you with further study and prepare you for the wider world of work. Art offers students the opportunity to “think of their feet” and to “Think out the box” whilst making projects they can be proud of in a range of different mediums. This is an incredibly useful skill to have in any role and will be an excellent quality to have with any employer.
