Key Stage 4 Core PE– 2 x 1hr per week
Key Stage 4 Option – 3 x 1hr per week
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities that include more traditional sports such as football, netball, badminton, rugby and athletics at KS3. They will also be introduced to a variety of sports that they may not have had the opportunity to participate in such as table tennis, trampolining, orienteering and handball at KS4.

Bolsover Sports Awards 2018
One of our students who left in the Summer won the Young sportswoman of the Year award for her successful athletics campaign by coming 3rd in the English School Track and Field Championships - Inter girls 80m Hurdles and also by winning the Derbyshire school track and field championships – Inter girls 80m hurdles, setting a new record in the process.
One of our current Year 11 students also won the Young Sportsman of the Year, winning the Under 15’s Boy’s Novice category at the British National Schools Trampoline Finals and before that won the Under 15’s Boy’s Novice category Central Zone Schools Trampoline Championships which set him above others in this category.
Other students came close to winning awards one for his athletics achievements and another was highly commended for his Cricket success by becoming Derbyshire U13 and Morton CCC opening batsman and captaining our successful cricket team at U13 level. Not to leave out two new Year 7 students, who won Primary Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year!
